Word Company Ever - Scummy Scammers

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK ANY MOVING JOBS. THEY WILL DO NOTHING BUT LIE TO YOU AND THEN MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL WHEN THE MOVE GOES BADLY. AND IT WILL GO BADLY.

The company they "hired" for me was the absolute worst. They showed up 8 hours late and still packed up the truck until about midnight. The truck they brought was too small and was not the size outlined in the contract. Priceline told me the people would be packing our stuff. This was a total lie. The people that showed up were criminals. How do I know this? My husband speaks Spanish and they didn't know. The two happiest moments were when my husband surprised them by answering a question in perfect Spanish and when one of the morons dropped a elliptical machine on his nose and broke it. Didn't even care that there was blood all over the basement.

Charged after them telling me I wouldn't be

I booked a move with them and then had to cancel it. This was done well over a month before they ever took the money. They stated that the money would never be touched..... then they took $1256.00 anyway I was told I could only communicate with them via email I have sent multiple emails without evail. Ended up having to go to the bank and dispute the charges and close the account. SMH THIS IS A SCAM THEY ARE A BUNCH OF UNTRUTHFUL LOW DOWN SORRY EXCUSES FOR HUMAN BEINGS! AND I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM WITH MY DOGS POOP.

FRAUDULENT COMPANY

BUYER BEWARE: ZERO STARS Priceline Van Lines out of Coral Springs, Florida is a FRAUDULENT COMPANY.....STAY FAR AWAY to Avoid being SCAMMED......I signed a contract with Priceline to move furniture from Arizona to Pennsylvania. On the day of the move, a rude, non-English speaking man arrived in a Penske truck for which he immediately insisted that I owed additional fees. When I displayed my Contract indicating that I already paid, he drove off. To date, this DECEPTIVE Company refused to reimburse me even though services were never rendered.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE!!!

They do not tell the truth about their services or charges.

I called them, they gave me a great price quote, they said it was soo cheap, because I was booking with them soo far in advance. The representative I spoke to, Mark Andrews, told me over and over again, that If I cancel I get a full refund on my deposit. Priceline Van Lines required a third of the total cost for the move, down as a deposit, for me that was 875.00 dollars. I agreed to the terms, but after 24 hours I emailed them stopping the process. I then called them to find out if they received my email ,and they did. They said that according to the contract , they keep 20 percent of the deposit, which would have been 170.00 for my deposit. I agreed to pay that, and then they tried taking 397.00 with an echeck, that I DID NOT Agree to. I then called them about this charge, and I was told that they keep 20 percent of the total price quote, not just the deposit!!!! Do Not Use this company!!!!

Hello,
I am sorry you feel you were misled by one of our representatives. I will definitely be pulling the call to make sure this didn't happen. That being said, you did agree to the terms in our contract. We do retain a portion of the deposit for processing and rescheduling of our trucks. This is stated on all paperwork provided to you.

Deposit scam

I recently received a quote from [NAME EDIT] for a move. I was told many times that as long as I canceled within 48 hours I would not be charged. I sent cancel email to their Cancel@pricelinevanlines.com as told. This email was sent well within the 48 hours. The next day I got an email stating my job was canceled. That same day I noticed they took the depot from my account. I’m currently waiting for someone to get back to me to explain. My bank is now involved. Beware this company and any other movers who use this tactic to try and get money for no service rendered. I have the conversation recorded with an app that I had with [NAME EDIT] stating that I would not be charged as long as I cancel within the 48 hours. He told me it was time allowed to search for a better quote. I did exactly that. If I get my money back I will write another review stating they did so. Until then, BEWARE this company!!

Overcharging, Damaged Goods, Terrible Customer Service

Do not recommend Priceline Van Lines. They were slow, complained a lot and broke my mother tv. When we called to tell them they said: how do we know it worked before we moved it? So apparently you must leave tv hooked up, show them it works, get them to affirm this in writing, and once you get to your new place hook your tv up before they leave and show them if it works in your new place? Yikes! Check out reviews on other sites too. Seem to be a pattern of being slow, breaking things and not owning up to it.

Nightmare Experience

I am extremely disappointed in which they did not wrap my furniture with anything while transferring it from the house to the van and from the van to the new house. They only wrapped it inside the moving van and unwrapped it inside the van when it arrived at the destination. I do not care how good a mover you are; you will bump into walls and damage furniture in which they did. I have moved several times and this is the first time in which a mover did not wrap the furniture. Crazy!!!

Worst move experience I’ve ever had

I DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Please heed my advice and don’t overlook some of the negative reviews like I did because of their decent overall rating. This is my 3rd long distance move, and BY FAR the worst I’ve had. Apparently, no one in this company communicates with anyone else. No one told them how much space I needed and they didn’t have room on the truck. They came back and still didn’t have room or a correct estimate even after having eyes on everything. We were told several different things by different people within the company. They tried to charge us an additional $500 to Saran Wrap a few pieces. I went to lowes and spent $60 and did it myself. They showed up without even calling first and then we made it very clear that our delivery couldn’t be made until Sep 10 because we wouldn’t be there yet. But they called us on the 8th saying they were ready to deliver. Seriously NO communication.

Priceline blames everything on their contracted drivers and won’t take any responsibility. Everyone you talk to doesn’t have the power to do anything but their supervisors are always magically busy and will never return a call. Please don’t make an already stressful time worse with these scammers. And this was after paying their company almost $10,000. Seriously, so many regrets.

Long-distance move from Seattle, WA to Miami Beach, FL

Scam all day long

If only I had known this before I use them. A quote was given, and all the paperwork emailed says a quote was for those items, the movers showed up at the house and wanted to charge another $5000 to move the same stuff that an estimate was given to me by the Priceline sales person. Luckily, my father is a lawyer in Miami and has already been contacted seeing how we had to move today , they showed up in a 24 foot moving truck and for the initial estimate only half of the things that were listed were taken. I was advised by my lawyer to let them I really had no other choice as soon as items are delivered to my new house. They will be served with a lawsuit for the additional $7000 for a 26 foot U-Haul that I had to rent to move the rest of my stuff. This is a bait and switch company their only address is for a mail store. They do not have a brick and mortar building this For the additional $7000 for a 26 foot U-Haul that I had to rent to move the rest of my stuff. This is a bait and switch company they’re only address is for a mail store. They do not have a brick and mortar building. This place is a scam , I don’t know if I have enough space to list all of the other names they have had in the past , this is a bait and switch fraudulent company. My guess is they take your deposit then win the company they hired shows up and gives you another outrageous quote most people back down and this company gets to keep the deposit. You guys really messed with the wrong one this time , I know all about your company. My father’s law firm has done nothing but research all day. We know that you get your mailing address at Pak Mail. We know you have been named in a lawsuit. We know all of the other names your company has been under, and I was astonished 271 negative reviews in the past three years on the Better Business Bureau. you’re gonna come back and say that’s a different company. All you did was change your name , you would think while you’re under investigation from the FBI as well as the United States attorney’s office you guys would learn your lesson, apparently not attached is a portion of the email I was sent and where you messed up is it states it is a binding estimate I’m also attaching what a binding estimate is meaning you are bound to that charge and the listed items. Be looking to be served with paperwork even if an investigator has the hand out at your mail store until someone comes to check the mail.

THIEVES

Per my conversation on September 1st with Corey Patterson, I was given 48 hours to cancel and void the contract without having the deposit of $1,112 withdrawn (see attachment which includes management permission). That same day I called Corey back and requested that he cancel everything after we did some calculations. I told him my mortgage as well as an earnest deposit for our new home will be withdrawn, which leaves us with very little in our pocket. He assured me that the contract would be voided, no money would be withdrawn, and that he would get in touch with billing and I would be hearing from them the following day at the very latest. I never heard from anyone the following day (September 2nd), nor did I receive any emails from anyone, including Corey. I reached out to Corey on September 3rd to confirm that everything was being taken care of because I could not afford those funds to be removed from my account nor did I give permission to have them withdrawn at this point. Again, Corey reassured me that it will be taken care of, no funds will be removed, and that I should be hearing from Megan very soon… I never heard from Megan or anybody else. September 6th rolls around and I see that the funds have been removed from my account. More than 48 hours have passed, I had requested a cancelation the SAME day that Corey wrote the contract and the funds are barely being withdrawn 5 days later… This is absolutely unacceptable. The funds should have never been withdrawn. UPDATE: this company reached out stating billing will be in touch within the week to rectify the situation after our first complaint was made with the BBB: billing has still not reached out and that was over a month ago. This is a joke. We called again and they gave us another excuse and said they’d call back in 72 hours. No call came. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Great College Move

Moved out of college across the state in Connecticut. A little out of their local moves but I chose this company because of their great service reviews! Those reviews definitely weren't wrong. Great little chat with the people who were helping me work, made me feel more like family than a customer. Considering the price I think I was robbing them for that service lol! All in all service was great, the price was great and the move was perfect!

STAY AWAY...DO NOT USE

Worst experience EVER. When we talked to the first person (Crystal), she was very nice. Gave us a quote and we signed the contract. Next we talked to Nick. Price went up $1000,.00 because we added on boxes but removed sectional couch from the move. Still price went up. He said the estimate was on the high side and that would be pretty much the cost. Today, movers showed up. We decided to eliminate a full bedroom suite from the move. They added on an additional 1600.00 (cash) because we needed more space than was quoted. How can we need more space when we eliminated furniture. We refused to pay more money so the movers left. We had a king size mattress and adjustable box spring and about 40 boxes Sm, med, 3 lg an 2 ex lg.

The cost went from $2900 to almost $5000. BIGGEST RIP-OFF EVER. We are out the $1100.00 down payment and we still need to move. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Tacoma, WA to Killeen, TX

Worst Experience Ever

I am a 74-year old widow on social security and a small pension who had items in a 6 x 10 storage unit to move from Tacoma, WA to Killeen, Texas. My belongings took up the six feet width of the unit and was just short of 10 feet length. The unit was about 20 feet high and the highest item I had was a filing cabinet which was about 5 feet high. The estimated cost was $2,958.95. I paid a deposit of $1,330. On no less than 4 occasions I told Priceline the size of the unit and, although I did not have an inventory, gave them a description of the items I wanted moved. The movers brokered by Priceline looked at my belongings and charged me over double what was quoted. I was told that the legs on the two patio tables alone would exceed the allowable cubic feet. I was shown a contract that indicated that my unit was 5 x 10. In the estimate I had received from Priceline I was allotted 286 cubic ft (2000 lbs) at a rate of $5.50 per cf. I had no idea what size 286 cubic feet represented!! Apparently, that would be a storage unit that was 5 x 10 x 5! Even though I didn't know, they should have realized by the description of the items I said I had that they would not have fit into a unit that size! The movers packed the truck and said I had 889 cf of items and with the $733 fuel charge, and a $1550 binding estimate fee, plus a $400 discount, the total came to $6,772.93. And I was required to pay 50% in cash before they would move my few belongings. I've seen reviews from people who have had 2-4 bedroom homes moved across country and their contract was between $4 - $5,000. I'm sure the foreman representing the brokered moving company, Only1 Moving and Storage, LLC, was just doing his job. However, the additional charges are far too excessive for what I had. I had no household furniture or large appliances. My items only used a small portion of the back of the truck. I called Priceline Vans and they told me that the first problem was that the original estimate was for a unit that was 5 x 10. I was told that I was responsible for the upcharge since my items obviously exceeded the 286 cf and there was nothing I could do. I was responsible for the extra charge - period, the end. What a horrible scam to perpetrate on unsuspecting people. It appears to fall into the bait and switch technique of luring customers in with an unrealistic low ball price ( a 5 x 10 unit is typically 400-500 cubic feet) and then add additional charges. I realize we are supposed to read contracts, which I sadly did not fully read. However, when they rush you through the process you tend to go with the flow and not do your due diligence in reviewing documents. I should have noticed the mistake on the size of the unit. Even with that said, I still would not have expected that the one foot difference in the size of the unit would make a $4,000 difference in the amount I had to pay. This is simply preying on the lack of knowledge that many of us have about this pricing game that they are able to play with cubic feet and the rate per cubic foot, especially for some of us with a lack of knowledge about what constitutes a cubic foot. I am going to end up paying $5,442.93 more, after the deduction of the $1330 I already paid. Shameful.

FRAUD ALERT!. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

I called them to schedule a move. I gave the sales person an exact list of items to move. He gave me a reasonable estimate of $2900. He send a confirmation email and asked me to sign quickly. I glanced at the email and signed it. Three days before the move, I called them and they asked for an "Updated" inventory of items. I gave them the same item list as before and this time they said i was "Adding" a lot of items and the price would be $7600. This is their scheme. They send an incomplete list from what you tell them initially, then charge you double/triple the price. They are liars and scammers. I Canceled 3 days before the move when they told me the "updated" price.

I have already disputed the charge on my credit card and i am about to File a case with the Better Business Bureau.

Thank you for the tears.

On the 4th of October, while I was driving I spoke to Tommy for one hour. I described in detail my 2 bedroom apartment and he quoted me for a $1800. I told him I couldn't afford it and he reduced it to $1600 & I agreed. While driving I signed the agreement & gave my bank information so I could lock it in after he repeated all I was to move as he said i will lose it if i didn't do so immediately. The quality assurance called me today to say that I didn't mention my headboard & my bed frame & they are going to add $700 and I either take it it or leave it. I even tried telling them to let me replace stuff so whatever I can fit into my car I can put it in so they can take it and they can take my bed and the have refused. To Tommy, Jake, Nick and Lisa who is the supervisor of customer service and kept saying there was nothing to be done even after i begged her to please go listen to the recording to see that i was not lying, thank you so much for showing the untrustworthiness of an organization and for making me cry. I literally have no clue what to do at the moment whether to forfeit my down payment or to go look for the $700 but I know I will figure it out. Please don't ever move with them and I pray you see this early before you do.
